Mentoring communications students is a privilege and a challenge.
There is no denying the industry purge, and the need to reinvent
formats using the best of what interactive technology provides.
The fundamentals of good journalism never change: accuracy and
integrity are paramount. But these times demand more. The chaos
and complexities of the digital transformation require an analytic,
authoritative voice to clarify and inspire. The potential of a
new age depends on it. The need for skilled, studied writers and
thought leaders is acute. We can be the catalyst for change.
